Santa!!!!!!

Do any of you remember this picture from last year?.....  Well, it looks like we have a repeat!
(2011)

(2012)

We went to the festival of trees a few weeks ago and we were so excited to take the boys to see Santa.  Kollin was not excited, just like last year, but as soon as Kole sat with him he was fine.   They even told santa what they want this year...:  They both said BIKE.

We had fun looking at the trees and all the other many things that the festival has to offer but they boys favorite part were the lights out side because they could touch.

The festival of trees always puts us in the Christmas spirit , even if it is before Thanksgiving ;)

COLORS!!!

At the beginning of November My sister Mary, niece MaKady, and a bunch of girls from my ward decided to do the Color Me Rad 5K.
At first when I signed up, months prior, I had no idea how my pregnancy would be going...but I signed up anyway because I knew if I didn't I would regret it. Especially since it would be my first 5K ever.

I am so glad I went!!!  Even though it was a freezing cold day, it was so worth it!
It was also a 'fun' race where they don't really keep times so I ran for the first bit and walked the rest so I wouldn't over work the baby maker:)

We all started off in our white clothes and were part of the first group of people to go....

Then every 1/2 mile or so the 'bomb squad' would douse you in color!!  It was either a powder (corn starch--non toxic)  or colored liquid that was freezing!!!

So by the end we looked like this!

And Mary's legs looked like this....:)

from boys to girl.. part 1

When we found out we were having just one baby instead of two, we gave away one of our car seats.
When we found out we were having a girl and not a boy I wanted so badly to doll up the car seat we had.  I have kind of left it on the back burner along with everything else baby girl for a while because the past few months have been insane!!!  My neighbor got an adorable car seat cover on line and while all of them were SUPER cute, they just weren't the colors I was looking for.   So I did what I always do and searched on Pinterest... and found this tutorial and got to work.  I waited for a sale at Joann's and got some fabric that will match her room (grey, pink and white...surprisingly not easy to find!!)  , plus a little extra to work on some things for her room  all for $20,  (car seat fabric alone was about $15 but there is plenty left over to make a scrappy blanket or throw pillows)  and I also got matching thread and binding from walmart for only a couple of dollars.

Here is the car seat before.. cute and gender neutral but not exactly what I wanted for my girly-girl I plan on having ;)

I spent only a couple days on it because it ended up being a super fun project and I really wanted to see if it would work out!!  I just followed the directions on the tutorial and because her car seat cover and visor on the tutorial were a little different then mine I took tons, and I mean TONS of pictures as I was pulling the seams apart so I could make sure I put it back together correctly.    I also wanted the cover to be two fabrics and when I pulled it apart it was just one big piece so I improvised and made my own pattern and sewed it all together so it looks like it was meant to be that way~

AFTER!!
(not the best lighting in the pictures, but you get the idea)

Now baby girl can come home in style in 3 months!!!!!!

What do you get when you mix two 2 year olds, monster trucks and Halloween!?!..... This post!

My baby boys turned 2 on Halloween!!!  the last two years have just flown by and the boys aren't babies anymore  :(  But they sure make two cute little toddlers!
For their Birthday we decorated their bedroom door the night before so when they opened it they would have balloons fall down on them.  Around 7 am Kole and I could hear them talking so I grabbed the video camera and we booked it to their room just in time to see them finish opening the door!  At first they were confused but then they spent a good 20 minutes playing with balloons and having fun ripping down the streamers.

For breakfast we had our birthday chocolate chip pancakes in the shape of mickey mouse requested by the little ones:)
And then the boys got to wear their B-day shirts!

We had a pretty laid back day, hanging out and running errands.  We took Kollin and Kleyton and cousin Lucas to del taco for a birthday lunch so they could play in the play place for a while:)

Later that night we had a BIG Birthday/Halloween bash With some close neighbors and family who were able to make it:)

We had the house decked out in Halloween/ Birthday decor!
And their birthday theme was 'Monster Truck'  because thats what our two little ones wanted!

Their monster truck cake!

A few of the guests.....

Playing in their new Wagon we got them for their B-day!

For dinner we had soups and bread sticks again this year, because it is so yummy and perfect on a fall day.

After dinner we all got dressed in our Halloween costumes..

Our little ones were Harry and Lloyd off of Dumb and Dumber.  Kollins broken Lloyd teeth inspired us and after a few weeks of working on their costumes they turned out pretty good I think;)

Kole is not a fan of dressing up but he did get into the spirit this year and let me make matching skeleton T-shirts!

Getting ready to go trunk-or-treating!

I didn't get pictures of every one  :(  dang it~~  next year I think we need a photo booth set up so we can see all the fun costumes!!
But here is
Ava and her crazy mamma outfit!

Devil fairy Corrine, pumpkin Hannah, and Ava

Mad Hatter Mary and Alice in Wonderland Trinity.

After we got buckets of candy we all headed back to the house for some cake and presents!

Playing with their loot!

My outfit wouldn't have been complete with out our soon to be baby girl!

Happy (Late) Halloween!
